There’s a distinctly tribal theme to this month’s roundup. Maybe it’s the evenings getting a bit longer that’s had us thinking about how good some of these would sound dancing with the sun on our faces. Or maybe it’s just that there have been stone-cold bangers from George Privatti, Italobros and others that have simply been too good to ignore.
Either way, these are the 15 Tech House cuts that have been floating our boats in February.

A life-long friend of Toolroom since it’s inception and absolute legend of the electronic music scene, Shadow Child debuts on the label with ‘Rising High’. This record fuses all of Shadow Child’s passions; old skool rave, techno and let’s not forget that incredible vocal.

Sometimes all you need is a dirty vocal and some thumping low-end to make a hit, and that’s exactly what Cloonee and Dances have provided. Like a warped version of Marshall Jefferson‘s timeless Mushrooms… only waaay nastier.

Tony H is the real deal and his latest single is arguably the strongest of his career to date. Let Me Tell You Somethin is where tech house meets sleazy storytelling. The track has a beat that sticks with you, and spoken words that take you on a trip. No frills, just the raw truth, set to a rhythm that keeps you moving.

With James Hype’s track record of delivering chart-topping singles and Tita Lau’s knack for crafting honest and captivating lyrics, new collab On The Ground is a testament to their collective prowess with a chunky-as-hell bassline and raw basement sound. These artists are a power-duo we cannot get enough of.

Mess with the classics at your peril – and Let’s Go Dancing is about as classic as it gets – but Matroda has pulled if off. That raw sawtooth lead just cuts through everything in its path – it’s an absolute monster.

This record is trademark Illyus & Barrientos and reflects their personalities as artists perfectly. Think high energy house music filled with fun and peak-time dance floor vibes. The duo rarely fail, but even by their own high standards this is a cut ab

Not since the heady days of Johnny Corporate has a sax hit this hard! Spain’s George Privatti absolutely nails this one, with an irresistible sax lead line tempered with a rolling bassline, sketchy vocals and a chanted, spoken-word vocal. Sax us up.

This one’s been bubbling around in a few sets for some time now and finally gets a release on Hot Creations. And with that gorgeous piano line it’s not going away anytime soon. Expect this one to be soundtracking Miami, Ibiza and beyond.

Sllash & Doppe, the inseparable cousins with a shared passion for tech house, are back doing what they do best. This is a hypnotic, tribal trip with an earworm vocal and sultry, silky rhythm and enough low end punch to cause some serious damage.

Pure rolling vibes from Tom Enzy you think you’ve got the hang of… and then that breakdown hits, followed by the haunting flute line. So epic it’s downright scary, this is going to SLAY festivals in the coming months. And we are here for it.

The jackin rhythm on this one makes it downright impossible not to move along to. And that’s before you get to the broken beat break. A mash up of so many different styles and genres shouldn’t work this well, but Crusy has crushed it.

Rocca’s dedication to blending house and techno elements has made him a staple over the last few years, and Ritualistic is another one that straddles the boundaries, with a healthy dose of tribal influences thrown in for good measure. Hypnotic and evocative, this is currently doing damage all over the place.

Jame Starck & Artichokes are becoming household names with multiple chart topping success over the past year, now welcomed to the Safari family with open arms. Here they’ve delivered a smashing tribal house chugger tailor-made to make you move from sunset to sunrise.

Rounding off with stone-cold banger from the troublesome trio of Castelani, REDÜKT, and Rapham. No frills, just a pure propulsive groove that starts out strong and doesn’t let up for the duration. Head down; eyes closed; stomp.
