Welcome to Magnetic Magazine’s monthly house chart. A responsibility I’ve been holding down for the past decade or so, but never in that span of time have I felt the need to talk about anything but dance music. Times are different though, terrorism has struck our community. Forget what side you’re on for a moment and let that soak in. If you’re reading this, you’re very likely a part of our very special dance music community. One that’s been a refuge for people from all walks of all life going all the way back to the 1970’s. Almost 300 ravers were murdered and kidnapped recently in Israel. These atrocities are unforgivable and inexcusable. Attempting to justify these actions is nothing short of extreme and lead us back into the Middle Ages when barbarism was commonplace. Sadly, our community has been bitterly divided about the tragedies that occurred which is absolutely mind-boggling. Nevertheless, time marches on and nothing will break the spirit of our community. Much less, any disillusioned raver who claims to share the same values as terrorists.
Now for something we can hopefully all agree on. The fifteen best house tracks of 2023.
