Truth x Lies, the dynamic electronic music duo composed of Ian Bertles and Ryan Howard, uniquely blends dark, evocative tech house with cleaner, modern sounds, making them a standout force in the industry. Following the success of their “Off The Menu” series official launch during Memorial Day Weekend, and their recently released single “Heard About Me” – a vibrant homage to their NYC roots they now are back with their newest release, “FTP” (For The People).
“FTP” (For The People) stands as a testament to Truth x Lies’ creative evolution and dedication to making music that moves and connects people. As summer unfolds, they continue to push the boundaries of house music, transforming it into a platform for joy, expression, and communal bonding. The journey of “FTP” began in an unexpected place, Chicago’s O’Hare airpor, where Ian Bertles and Ryan Howard crossed paths with the renowned South African DJ, producer, and Context Records label boss, Kyle Watson. This chance meeting, coupled with subsequent shared stages, led to an invitation from Watson for the duo to contribute to his innovative label, sparking the creation of “FTP.”
Crafted during a night filled with deep discussions about their shared aspirations to influence the dance music community, “FTP” emerged as a powerful mantra for their collaboration. This track, driven by Ian’s compelling vocals, is a declaration of a community-focused approach to music, aiming to set dance floors ablaze and empower listeners to connect through rhythm. “FTP” (For The People) is out now on all mayor streaming platforms.
