June 29, 2024

Exstra’s latest single, ‘Frozen’, is turning heads and for all the right reasons. Released on May 31st, 2024, via Enormous Chills, it’s already featured in Magnetic Magazine. Nora En Pure even gave it a spin on Purified Radio 404 on Sirius XM before it dropped. Mastered by Grammy-nominated Christian Hirt, who’s worked with top names like Nora En Pure and EDX, ‘Frozen’ is destined for greatness. With 1.4 million streams and releases on heavy-hitting labels like Colorize and Zerothree, Exstra is a name you can’t ignore. He’s got radio love from KISS FM and SiriusXM, and props from EDM Identity.
Steven Landis, better known as Exstra, hails from Valley Stream, New York, now living it up in NYC. He grew up vibing to late 90s electronic hits. Though he started with cello and choir, it was seeing Avicii live during college that lit his DJ fire. He kicked off as Exstra in Washington, DC, then rocked NYC nightclubs and went international, playing in Paris and Cambodia. The pandemic pushed him into music production, and he snagged a deal with Enormous Chills in no time.
‘Frozen’ is an emotional ride from start to finish. Inspired by his cat’s battle with illness, it’s packed with intense rhythms and a relentless beat. The cinematic atmosphere and uplifting lead will hook you instantly. ‘Frozen’ blends dark, analog vibes with organic tones, making it impossible to ignore on the dance floor. It’s hypnotic, progressive, and just downright awesome.
