The best parties at Cova Santa for Deep & Progressive House – Ibiza Spotlight

June 3, 2024

Fan of these genres should look no further.
Certain music genres just fit in certain environments and situations. Take Deep House and Progressive House for example. These euphoric, forward-thinking, sometimes even ethereal strains of dance music require a particular kind of setting and that setting is Cova Santa.
Outside, with a natural backdrop that is quintessentially Balearic, Cova Santa’s prevalent soundtrack has been Deep House for many years now – and it just works so well. Although more recently, other genres have slowly crept into the programme, Deep House still reigns.
This is seen in the club’s two flagship parties, but they aren’t the only ones.
Here we take a look at which parties you can find Deep and Progressive House in more detail.
The Soundgarden | Cova Santa by Marina Baeza
Well-watered, tended and bursting with greenery is Nick Warren‘s The Soundgarden. After a handful of collaborative takeovers over the past few years, the label and party series gets its first official events in summer 2023. There isn’t a better location for it than pine-clad Cova Santa.
Thanks to his long association and friendship with Nick, The Soundgarden is also one of the only Ibiza parties Argentine DJ god Hernán Cattáneo plays for. And, yes, we expect at least one of his two confirmed appearances in 2023 to be one of his epic back-to-backs with Nick.
Aside from these two DJ veterans, you can also catch the likes of Rodriguez Jr. (live), Sainte Vie, Mai Lawson and Gustin.

All Day I Dream | Cova Santa
Probably Cova Santa’s “other” big party on the balance of things, is the community-focused All Day I Dream from Lee Burridge. Taking place every Thursday from mid-June to late September, ADID welcomes a friendly and lively crowd.
Lee doesn’t play every week, but you can be sure the dates where he does are the most popular. With names like Sébastien Léger and Tim Green filling in on the other occasions, attendees are in for a treat regardless of the line-up.
Naturally, the label roster all get their turn to play, including Lost Desert, YoKoO, Newman, Roy Rosenfeld, Powel, Jim Rider, Gorje Hewek, Pippi Ciez and more. Plus, there are also guest appearances from names such as Sasha and Acid Pauli to keep an eye out for.

Storytellers present Puppetry | Cova Santa
Who would like a bedtime story? The imaginative Storytellers crew is back for more far-fetched adventure in the San José hillside this summer.
Fusing music and performance, Storytellers creates an immersive experience where the audience becomes an active participant – a character within the pages of Storytellers’ book if you will. Artistic performances and themed spaces allow the crowd to live out an unfolding fairytale.
With this year’s theme being Puppetry, we can only speculate that the metaphorical strings are being pulled over the dancefloor. Dance you shall.
Monolink, Oliver Koletzki, BLOND:ISH, Deer Jade and LUM are among the regulars. Storytellers is also one of the few parties that allow accompanied children to attend.

Woomoon Rezo | Cova Santa by Arbe Garcia
To say we’ve ‘saved the best for last’ discredits the amazing choices above, but it’s certainly true that Woomoon is the party that immediately springs to mind when we speak of Cova Santa. Inviting you to love by the moon and live by the sun, Woomoon is a spiritual and sentient being.
Also produced by the creative minds at LunArts agency, you will find an overlap of DJs and live performers as its sister party, Storytellers. You can also count on the likes of Landikan, Tanika, rampue and Gaya Brisa playing.
With Cova Santa decorated in iconography from the heavenly skies and interactive performances going on around you, attendees will find themselves swept up in the party’s magic.
