Welcome to the second edition of SampleRadar, MusicRadar’s new weekly giveaway of pro-quality, royalty-free samples. It’s a simple deal: we upload genre-specific loops, hits and multisamples, then you download them to your hard drive and use them in your music.
This week, we’re covering techno, focusing on the mid-tempo style that’s currently very popular. Our samples range in tempo from 120 to 132bpm.
Although the techno sound is often thought of as minimal, it’s also one that gives you plenty of scope for experimentation, so think of these sounds as a starting point for your productions and see where they take you.
The samples are split across four construction kits, each of which contains drum, bass and synth loops, plus bass multisamples and single drum hits.
All the samples are supplied as 24-bit WAV files so can be imported directly into your DAW of choice. Because they’re royalty-free, you’re welcome to use them in your music in any way you like – all we ask is that you don’t re-distribute them.
The techno kits are supplied as separate zip files, so you’ll need to extract them before you can see the samples. Enjoy!
