Every week, we present a curated list of live music in a wide range of genres around the Valley, and this week’s column features musicians who love to collaborate.

September 11
Band of Horses
Ben Bridwell, the leader of Band of Horses, has frequently butted heads with his bandmates, which explains why the beloved folk-rock group has a high turnover rate. But in 2015, he worked with Iron and Wine on a critically acclaimed covers album, which includes renditions of songs by Talking Heads and John Cale. 7:30 p.m., $35-$60, Marquee Theatre, 730 N. Mill Ave., Tempe, luckymanonline.com

September 12
Lizz Wright
In addition to her critically lauded contemporary jazz albums, the stunning vocalist has appeared on songs with saxophonist David Sanborn, neo-soul star Me’Shell Ndegéocello, and even duetted with Jakob Dylan on a tribute to the Band. 7 p.m., $49.50-$64.50, Musical Instrument Museum. 4725 E. Mayo Blvd., Phoenix, 480-478-6000, mim.org

September 12
Jawbreaker
During the punk band’s very lengthy hiatus, singer and guitarist Blake Schwarzenbach fronted the indie emo group Jets to Brazil, the short-lived group The Thorns of Life, and the super trio Forgetters. Then, a one-off reunion show at Riot Fest in 2017 has become a six-year (and counting) comeback. 7 p.m., $47.50, The Van Buren, 401 W. Van Buren St., Phoenix, 480-659-1641, livenation.com

September 16
Canacopia
Time to crack open a cold one and dance! DJs Dillon Francis, Dua Lipa collaborator SG Lewis, and BONNIE X CLYDE headline this celebration of music as well as ready-to-drink canned spirits, seltzers, craft beers and wine. 3-10 p.m., Tickets start at $38. Riverview Park, 2100 W. Rio Salado Pkwy., Mesa, forty8live.com/canacopia

September 16
Eric Church
Believe it or not, Eric Church has never headlined an amphitheater tour, so “The Chief,” the nickname the country singer’s fans donned him, is taking Jelly Roll and Paul Cauthen with him on the road to experience the great outdoors. Somebody better tell him about Phoenix weather in September. 7 p.m., $39.75-$199.75, Talking Stick Resort Amphitheatre, 2121 N. 83rd Ave., Phoenix, 602-254-7200, livenation.com
