How are you? What’s good and bad in your world?
Hi, thank you for having me! I’m doing great, school, DJ-ing and production, living a dream. Everybody tells me to be patient and that I have time, but I can’t wait for my 18th birthday so I have more freedom to attend parties and fully immerse myself in the electronic scene in person. For now, I’m focusing on production and my own performances, which is also great!
What was your recent set at EXIT like? How was it playing to that crowd?
The thing I enjoy the most is watching and feeling the crowd as they feel me and the music I play, and that exchange of the energy at EXIT Festival was next level. I deeply believe that you can communicate so much more through music than with words or any other medium. This was my third performance at EXIT Festival, and the first at the iconic Dance Arena. It was absolutely awe-inspiring, no words can describe it.
How did the process start for you working with such a huge festival and was it overwhelming?
My journey with EXIT Festival began when I was 13, playing there for the first time. Since then, my passion for music only grew stronger. Earlier this year, I had the opportunity to join EXIT Echosystem Music & Talent Office, which instantly made me feel like part of a big family, and shared enthusiasm for helping my career thrive became a driving force behind our collaboration. The experience so far has been overwhelming and inspiring, as I continue to evolve and create music that resonates with a growing audience. Working with such a dedicated team has been a true game-changer for my career, making my dreams come true.
How different was it to the first time when you were just 13? Did you feel more confident?
To be honest, at the age of thirteen, I didn’t fully grasp the magnitude of performing at EXIT. It was only later that I realized what an honor it was to play at such a big festival. Since then, I had always dreamed of performing at Dance Arena, because it is EXIT’s biggest electronic music stage, recognized worldwide. This year, that big dream finally came true, and I couldn’t wait for the performance. The feeling is indescribable – a dash of nervousness mixed with enormous happiness and great excitement. I enjoyed every minute of it.

Why do you think you won the LMF competition? What made you stand out?
When I create and record a mix, I immerse myself in the atmosphere of the venue where I would be performing. I envision being in that place and time, and tailor the music selection accordingly. I believe that this approach played a crucial role in making me stand out. It brought me the opportunity to perform in Las Vegas, and I couldn’t be more exited about it!
What is your DJ style? How do you approach a set? What are your goals and what’s your sound?
I am currently oriented on progressive, indie dance, and melodic techno, but I enjoy experimenting with different music genres. Whether I’m playing at the opening, closing, or headlining an event, I prepare a set that matches the atmosphere and energy of the moment. By blending a diverse range of sounds, I aim to keep the energy flowing and the dancefloor alive throughout my performances.
How and when did you first get into electronic music in Serbia?

At the age of twelve, I enrolled in a DJ-ing course, after which I got the opportunity to play at EXIT Festival. That was my first performance. To be honest, considering my age at the time, I couldn’t have imagined that “Lanna” would evolve into an artistic project on this level, and I am very grateful for the opportunities that have come my way.
What’s the scene there like? What styles are popular and how do you fit it in?
The music scene in Serbia is quite diverse and vibrant, we have a lot of quality DJs and producers whose names are renowned worldwide, like Marko Nastić, Space Motion and Coeus, to name a few. Each of them has their own unique style and genre, and I find inspiration from all of them.
When producing what’s your sound? Do you make the tunes you want to play in your own set?
When I make music, I make the melody myself. There are no rules, I create as I feel, which makes my tunes a perfect fit for my own sets.

Tell us about your release White Shadows and the ethos and inspiration behind it?
The EP “White shadows”, which I created in collaboration with renowned British producer Sebastian Haas, contains two dynamic and musical tracks in the progressive house style and it opens the door to a new perception of the world of music. I am very proud of this debut EP, since it made me the youngest producer to hit the Beatport Top 100 Progressive-House list.

And your studio set up, how did you produce the track?
I approach music production with a clear idea of how I want the track to sound. I draw inspiration from various sources, such as my emotions, experiences, the artists I look up to and the mood I want to convey. This serves as a guiding force throughout the creative process.
What’s next for you? What else are you working on?
I recently finished my new track, which made its live debut at Dance Arena. I have several projects in progress, which I plan to complete in the coming months. I’m excited about another two upcoming tracks with Sebastian Haas, which bring a slightly different sound than the White Shadows EP. Rest assured, there’s a lot of good music to look forward to in the coming period, and I can’t wait to share it all with you! Stay tuned!
What goals do you have for your career? Where do you hope to be in 10 years?
Setting and achieving goals has been a driving force in my career so far, from becoming the youngest producer on the Beatport Top 100 list to performing at Dance Arena. My next goals and aspirations include performing at Tomorrowland, Printworks London, Burning Man, Ibiza… In ten years, I don’t know… only the sky is the limit, and I’m excited to embrace every step of this incredible journey!
