Hello and thank you for joining us! Could you give us an insight on the main inspirations and influences that led to your chosen career pathway in music?
My main inspiration was the rave culture. I started quite young. I was about 15 the first time I went to a rave and since then, my love for electronic music has continued to grow. During my teenage years, I collaborated with various artists and producers. One of the most challenging aspects of those collaborations was coordinating our schedules to complete tracks. It was at this point that I realized the importance of being able to create my own music, which led to my journey into music production. I was fortunate to have friends who were DJs while I was growing up; they used vinyl and CDJs. I eagerly seized every opportunity they offered me to experiment and play with these tools.
Graduating from the well-renowned Toolroom Academy, we would like to know the key values gained during your course, the ways in which you were able to shape your style of play, as well as an overview of the experience as a whole?
The Toolroom course helped me to develop my sound and gain a deeper understanding of house music and the various niches of genres and subgenres. The tutors there are all super-experienced and successful producers in their own right, so it was a great starting point for what I wanted to do. I’d recommend it to anyone looking to take the next steps in their production, for sure.
With tech house and techno your preferred genres of production, could you give us an insight on how your signature sound came to be, as well as your own thoughts on how significant a versatile nature can be for an artist in this day and age?
I’ve always loved vocals and melodies but equally heavy music, impactful. The kind that shakes the dancefloor. I make and play music in my sets that reflect this, but I also believe it’s important to go on a journey. I don’t want to ever feel trapped into only playing one or two genres. If it fits, I want to try and experiment. That goes with individual sounds in a composition or in mixing tracks in a set.
Creating your very own label in Temple House Music, we would like to know the main concept behind this initiative, the mission that you have set out to achieve, as well as an overview on the platform itself and the artists it has set out on developing their careers within our scene?
I’m building a home for myself and for dance music lovers. Where you can expect the unexpected and everyone is welcome. I want the releases and the events to reflect this energy. Until now it’s been a platform for my own releases, but we’ll be putting out music from some amazing artists in the coming months. I wish I could give more specifics but right now all I can say is watch this space!
Hosting your very own Temple House Stage at Electric Garden, could you give us an insight on the event itself, the artists that featured on your stage, as well as the significance of enhancing the image of your label through the takeover of highly acclaimed and successful events and festivals?
Electric Garden is such an incredible event with several different stages ranging from drum and bass to disco and everything in between. The partygoers are super eclectic and many really dress for the occasion. Musically, some of the top artists in the industry. I couldn’t be happier with how it went. I think the headliners ended up playing to around 10k people and the feedback from people who were there has been insane! I always wanted Temple House to be as much about the live experience as the music we’re putting out, so it’s really been so incredible to see it all come to life.
Kick-starting the year in the most immersive of fashions, your hit single ‘Confidence’ took over our scene with a bang. Could you give us an insight into the main thought process behind the production of this track, as well as the overall message that it set out to portray?
‘Confidence’ was one of those tracks that just came together naturally. The identifying section is when the vocal pitches down before the drop, but the track is really groovy with heavy percussion. The title came during the arrangement. It suited the energy and the other vocals. It has a cool attitude and who doesn’t want to be confident?
Constantly on the rise, releases such as ‘Now You Know’ and ‘Take You’ have been cementing your status amongst the elite of our community. We would like to know the overall feel of leaving a lasting impact on the dance scene with your music, as well as how rewarding the recognition can be whilst looking to further develop as an artist yourself?
I feel really good these days about where I am at and where I’m going musically. I just want to improve my craft and be able to share that with people. Performing and creating art has long since been one of my preferred methods of expression. I’m really grateful for anyone that I reach in a positive way.
With 2023 now almost coming to an end, we would like to know of what the future holds for ADRIANNA, always in terms of new music being released, live performances scheduled and of course a few hints on what’s next for Temple House Music?
More music coming in 2023 and scheduled for 2024. Planning events and getting ready for my next show on Halloween weekend supporting Darius Syrossian and Richy Ahmed. I’m really excited to choose some tunes for this, play some new tracks and find my costume!
Continuing her rise within our community, we will most definitely be keeping a close eye on ADRIANNA and all her future endeavours, but for the time being, you can also stay fully up to date by following her on Facebook, Instagram and Spotify.
