The Italian DJ took Chicago by storm, performing alongside icons on house music’s most commanding stage
Around a decade ago, Anfisa Letyago started experimenting with sound in her hometown of Naples. Since then, she’s released two EPs, founded record label N:S:DA, collaborated with iconic DJs, and performed on electronic music’s biggest stages, from Tomorrowland to Ultra to Parklife to Sonar. Today, she’s one of the industry’s most influential up-and-coming names, nurturing an ever-growing, global fan base, enamored with her blend of commanding techno and deep house, and her palpably underground spirit.
Last month, Letyago played an unmissable set at ARC Music Festival, staged in the heart of the house genre, Chicago’s Union Park. Alongside Black Coffee, Carlita, DJ Minx, Mike Dunn, Peggy Gou, and many more, she built on the city’s unique artistic spirit, representing house music’s next generation. Here, the DJ gives Document an inside look at the lead-up to her performance, spotlighting ARC’s energy, and that of Chicago at large.
“Road closed, but ARC’s open.”
“Getting ready for you!”
“Backstage and ready.”
“Post-set happiness.”
“Ciao, Chicago—always love.”
