Carl Cox remixes Honeyluv & Roland Clark's 'This Is My Life' – We Rave You

June 13, 2024

Carl Cox is back again with a techno remix. This time he took on the Honeyluv & Roland Clark song This Is My Life, released in January and published on Nothing Else Matters. HoneyLuv’s debut release Nothing Else Matters imprint was a great influence on the House genre, and Roland Clark was a very punchy pairing with the vocals.
The masterful This Is My Life was a really good basis for a remix. Liverpool-born Bontan, who thought of Afro House as a way to spice up the tune, had the same opinion. Originally conceived in the House genre, the Honeyluv & Roland Clark track has now been slightly reworked by Carl Cox. As mentioned earlier, this January release was also a big milestone for Honeyluv, as it marked her debut on g Else Matters. However, that’s not a question, as she already had a connection with Danny Howard, the founder of the label, as Danny is the host of the BBC Radio 1 party show where Honeyluv was announced as the Future Star of 2023. This may also be interesting, but Carl Cox recently talked about why he skipped Ultra Miami 2024.
“This remix elevates the HoneyLuv and Roland Clark track to a new level showcasing Cox’s signature grooves. This is peak dance floor ammunition!”, shared Nothing Else Matters on the release day. Carl Cox has really outdone himself, as it’s known from him, as he has brought his usual sound world in a remix. Techno was a good choice for this one, as Roland Clark’s deep vocals only helped. And not to mention Honeyluv’s masterful production work that laid the foundations for this. And by Carl Cox, you can hear some interesting sound effects in his 132 BPM reworking.
Carl Cox will be appearing live in numerous locations in the near future, which can be followed via his official tour link provided by his management.
