The first music event I went to was Hard Summer 2015. I had never seen music being played in such a way and loved by so many people. It was a bit intense though, and my friend suggested I would be much happier with transformational festivals or Insomniac festivals where there was more PLUR all around.
My friend, Travis Zebe, was a coworker with me at a restaurant. We were working over the summer as I was paying off my student loans, and he sat me down one day after work and showed me all different types of subgenres of EDM which I had never heard before. After that, he said I needed to go to a festival so I asked my roommate at the time to attend with me and we went to Hard Summer.

The most special moment was during Symbiosis 2016 when one of the ADA patrons I was carting to the entrance of the festival, told me that the whole reason they could enjoy festivals was due to the care and help they get from Accessible Festivals. It truly made the job feel worth it and it always fills my heart with job to hear how much our help matters to the patrons.
My favorite festival is probably a tie between EDC and Dirtybird Campout. I loved the energy, people, and environment of EDC and the laid back, non judgemental, fun environment of Dirtybird. EDC was the first time I took a group of friends to a festival with me and we all thoroughly enjoyed ourselves and it felt like home for me. I’ve only always worked Dirtybird but it was the first time I worked with Accessible Festivals and holds the greatest memories for me (Plus I love Claude VonStroke’s music).

“Peanut Butter Jelly” by Galantis. When I first heard it at Nocturnal 2015, I had the biggest smile on my face and cried so hard that people around me kept asking if I was rolling and I just danced and replied, “Nope, totally sober, I just really love Galantis!”. The energy and happiness in that song makes me forget about all my worries and dance. I’ve always been self-conscious of my dancing since I have no idea how to dance, but when I hear Galantis I forget about everyone else around me and lose myself to the amazing feeling of happiness that moves through my body.
My favorite artists are Kaskade, Galantis, Eric Prydz, Lane 8, Claude VonStroke, Flume, Illenium, Netsky, Odesza, and Disclosure.

A lover but a worker as well. I originally joined this community for the love of music and to connect with those love the same music, but what I got out of it was two jobs which I immensely enjoy doing and many different families: my Insomniac Ground Control family, my Accessible Festivals family, my music festival attendees family, and, by doing this, I have become even closer with friends in my life that I’ve introduced to this lifestyle.
Music is not just a sound to me, it’s a feeling, a cure, a vibe, a band-aid, an invitation, a dancing energy, a bond, and a life force. The first time I heard EDM, I found a world in which I craved and longed to be a part of. I’m happy to call this place my home.
