Josh Wink celebrates Ovum Recordings with 'The Deepness EP' – We Rave You

Earlier this year, Josh WInk revealed that he intended to lean into the 30th-anniversary celebrations of his own career and imprint Ovum Recordings. Much of 2024 will be spent on the road as Wink brings his minimalist house productions to fans around the world. Back in April, he continued his hometown celebrations, throwing his annual Winkdown event in Philadelphia. Still to come for the producer is a variety of dates across Europe as well as a b2b set with Kerri Chandler in July for Carl Cox’s Birthday on the Beach in Brighton. Amidst his continued touring duties, he is delivering a beautiful new two-track EP to serve as a musical celebration of his ongoing career.
Simply titled The Deepness, the new EP contains the previously released title track as well as the additional production, IZ. Listening to The Deepness (the single) offers a euphoric journey from rave to space and back again. The cinematic production evolves over seven and a half minutes with Wink’s full production powers on display throughout. The second track, IZ, is a groove-laden masterclass in the minimalist house production genre. Josh Wink stretches the song out for nearly 10 minutes, letting the listener get lost in the music.
