At Avyca Ibiza. Manchester's Tech House stronghold finally reaches the shores of Ibiza for a weekly residency.
All the way from Manchester, UK, Tech House specialist Kaluki finally gets its hands on its own Ibiza residency in 2024, four years after its initial attempt was thwarted. This summer, Kaluki finds its way to Ibiza’s newest nightspot, Avyca Ibiza – the 1,500 capacity club taking over the former Octan site.
Kaluki emerged two decades ago as a weekly party at the city’s celebrated Sankeys.
Since then, the brand has been selling out parties and stages across major festivals like BPM and Parklife, while it has also briefly flirted with Ibiza, such as one-off takeovers of Privilege’s Vista Club and even link-ups with krankbrother at the old Sankeys Ibiza. But it’s in Kaluki’s birthplace of Manchester, a city steeped in electronic music culture, where the party continues to thrive.
Kaluki still frequently throws sell-out parties at giant venues such as the engulfing Depot Mayfield and the decorated Albert Hall, often as part of The Warehouse Project’s season. Now, it can add Ibiza as a second patch.
As the reincarnation of Sankeys Ibiza, Avyca is the perfect site for the brand, making this almost a return to Kaluki’s spiritual home, whilst adding another layer of intrigue. With the club’s state-of-the-art L-Acoustic sound system, Kaluki’s booking pedigree and loyal following, it’s a match made in heaven.
Resident duo Pirate Copy will be joined by a glut of DJs, including (A-Z) Alisha, Archie Hamilton, De La Swing, Detlef, Dunmore Brothers, East End Dubs, Elliot Schooling & Liam Palmer, Gaskin, Guti (live), Jansons, Jesse Calosso, Joey Daniel, Locklead, Luuk van Dijk, Mason Collective, Max Dean, Prunk, Rich NxT, Richy Ahmed, Rossi., Rossko, Samuel Deep, Seb Zito, Sidney Charles, Sosa, Tom Nolan, Wheats, wAFF, Yousef and more.
