My House Music Fest Celebrates Anniversary with Return of Chicago House Music Legends – Lawndale News

My House Music Fest, presented by Grass Root Events will host its sixth annual festival on August 13 -14 in the Pilsen Neighborhood.  Festival guests can enjoy special performances from House Music legends, Farley Jackmaster Funk, DJ Sneak, and Ralphi Rosario, DJ Heather & more. Local DJs will also be performing throughout the weekend along with a silent disco activation. This family-friendly event will offer immersive activities, small business pop-ups, and food vendors.  My House Music Fest will host its annual DJ contest, and local DJs can submit an entry to win a chance to perform as the opening act on the main stage. Entries will be judged by Chicago Scratch legend, Pumpin Pete.  “Chicago is the birthplace of House Music and this year we wanted to highlight the founding fathers of the genre with our stacked lineup,” shares Fernando Nieto, the founder of Grass Root Events.  My House Music Fest will take place on Saturday, August 13, and Sunday, August 14 (3 pm – 10 pm) at Harrison Park, 1824 S Wood St, Chicago, IL 60608.
