Sunset Music Festival lineup: David Guetta, Steve Aoki, Knife Party and more – Tampa Bay Times
by May 29, 2024Last year’s inaugural Sunset Music Festival was a huge Memorial Day weekend success, packing thousands of fans into a parking lot at Raymond James Stadium for a full day of DJs and electronic music. It wasn’t Ultra, but it was also arguably more entertaining than the national Identity Festival tour.
This year’s Sunset Music Festival, on May 25 at RayJay, promises to be even bigger. The first phase of the lineup was released Tuesday, and it includes some EDM heavyweights: Top 40 hitmaker David Guetta, Steve Aoki (above), Knife Party, Dillon Francis, Alvin Risk, Crizzly, Krewella and Morgan Page. Also on the bill: Carnage, Danny Avila, Flosstradamus, Le Castle Vania, Popeska, Pegboard Nerds and Tampa’s own Nerd Rage.
Guetta is obviously the day’s biggest get. One of world’s most in-demand DJs — in 2011, he was actually voted the world’s No. 1 DJ — he blew the house down at the 93.3-FLZ Jingle Ball in 2011. Aoki, Page, Francis and Crizzly have all performed in Tampa Bay in the past year or so, but EDM fans might be more curious about up-and-coming groups Krewella and Knife Party.
General admission tickets are $64; VIP tickets are $94. Click here to get ’em.
And let’s not forget, Sunset is run in part by the folks behind the Amphitheatre in Ybor City — and they have the world’s No. 1 ranked DJ, Armin van Buuren, coming to town on May 9. Click here for details on that one.
