Sunset Music Festival To Attract More Than 50000 Music Fans – Patch

TAMPA, FL — Illenium, Alesso, Tchami, Oliver Heldens and ZedsDead, international superstars on the EDM scene, are headlining this year’s 10th anniversary of the Sunset Music Festival.
For the first time, the festival will expand to three days of continuous music on Friday May 27, Saturday, May 28, and Sunday, May 29, in the north lots of Tampa’s Raymond James Stadium.
More than 50,000 music fans with over half traveling from out of the area will attend this year’s festival.
The Tampa Sports Authority said it conservatively estimates the Sunset Music Festival will translate into 10,000 hotel room nights.
The festival will take place Friday and Saturday from 4 p.m. to midnight, and Sunday from 4 to 10 p.m. (See the music lineup below).
The authority said organizers are taking all steps possible to mitigate sound levels to nearby neighborhoods “although atmospheric conditions may increase the possibility for sound to travel further distances from the stadium than normal,” said the authority. “If you have any questions or concerns on sound during the shows, please call 813-350-6500.”
In past years, neighbors have complained of the heavy bass sound emanating from Raymond James Stadium, causing walls in homes to vibrate and pictures to fall.

Gates will open at 4 p.m. and parking lots will open at 3 p.m. each day and will close by 1:30 a.m. each night. General parking per vehicle is $40. (Note: all transactions are cashless).
No loitering, tailgating or overnight parking is permitted.
Because of the large crowds, the authority warns that drivers in the area should expect congestion around the stadium before and after the performances.
To accommodate ride-sharing options such as Uber and Lyft, a drop-off and pick-up area will be located in Lot C off Himes Avenue, just north of Tampa Bay Boulevard.
The Sunset Music Festival is a completely cashless event. Those placing orders for wristbands have the option of picking them up at The Ritz, 1503 E. 7th Ave., Tampa, with a valid ID.
Off-site early wristband pickup runs from Wednesday, May 25, to Thursday, May 26, from noon to 8 p.m.
Wristbands also will be available for pickup at the Sunset Music Festival main gate in the north lot of Raymond James Stadium on Friday, May 27, Saturday, May 28, and Sunday, May 29, from 3 to 11 p.m. Those ordering wristbands must present their PDF ticket, either printed or on their phone, and a valid ID.
