Kygo and Myles Shear’s Palm Tree Crew are bringing some of the biggest names in dance music to the Hamptons for the fourth straight year. They’re not doing it alone, either — much like the past couple years, Don Julio Tequila will team up with the brand for the Palm Tree Festival this month.
Swedish House Mafia will headline the festival on June 22, with sets from Sofi Tukker, Purple Disco Machine, Xandra, and other artists. Last year, Calvin Harris, Sam Feldt, Loud Luxury, and more brought out fans of all ages to see the artists trade hits. 62-year-old Paul Saltzman was locked in once Kygo, who will perform at this year’s iteration of the festival as well, hit the decks. “I once saw Kygo alone at Madison Square Garden,” he told Rolling Stone at last year’s Palm Tree Festival.
Since the festival series’ debut in 2021, Palm Tree Festival has had iterations in Aspen, Colorado, Cabo, Mexico, Pag, Croatia, and more. More often than not, Don Julio has been there for the ride and not just for the music.
“Outside of the festivals, we have brought the Palm Tree Crew x Tequila Don Julio lifestyle to an even wider audience, inspiring consumers to celebrate with us through exclusive merch collaborations, engaging content and have shown up together at cultural moments like Art Basel,” Don Julio Vice President Karen Harris tells Rolling Stone.
Recently, Don Julio and Palm Tree Crew linked up for a limited-edition ski-inspired merchandise collaboration that coincided with the festival in Aspen this February, selling out in minutes. There’s more on the way too: The two brands will drop another set next month. At this weekend’s Palm Tree Festival, attendees can expect branded activations as well as the new miniature 50ml format Tequila Don Julio 1942 that made its debut earlier this year during the Oscars ceremony.
Once you’re there, the crowd at Palm Tree Festival looks a lot like your For You Page. Last year, BFFs podcast’s Brianna Chickenfry looked on as Kygo performed after getting her leg caught in a VIP table fence, and ultimate GRWMer Alix Earle celebrated her graduation from the University of Miami by pulling up to the festival with boyfriend and Miami Dolphins star Braxton Berrios.
Kygo told Rolling Stone that the festival is open to experimenting more when it comes to genre in the future, noting that the White Stripes performed at the Aspen iteration of the event in 2023.
“I feel like people that come to Palm Tree Festival are very open minded so we definitely want to expand and have different genres, definitely have some live acts and some bands,” Kygo previously told Rolling Stone. “We’ve been experimenting some, and we’re going to continue doing that in the future.”
