Some people take their music festivals seriously, so much so that they will not trust an event host again if something has ever went awry in the past – even if it was out of their control. While most people are pretty excited to hear that Tampa, Florida's Sunset Music Festival just released their Phase 1 lineup for 2019, several others have taken the opportunity to state their feelings about last year's mishap.
Postpone a set, cancel a set, reschedule a set, no matter what, to money paying festival-goers the worst thing a venue could possibly do is completely cancel a whole day – and that's exactly what happened last year at Tampa's Sunset Music Festival.
Considering the public comments about last year's two-day festival, Saturday went well for most and left them with little to complain about, but Sunday was a completely different story. According to Sunset Music Festival's official cancellation statement posted on May 28, 2018, they were told by the Tampa Sports Authority, Tampa Police Department and Tampa Fire Department that they "could not open the doors" due to imminent storm and high wind warnings in the area.

Ticket refunds were offered to everyone who had bought entry for Sunday, but 8 months later some people are still saying they have yet to receive their refund.
Equally some people are still upset that they had to pay for other expenses like hotel rooms and travel for no reason. Of course, that's just the risk you take with these sorts of things – especially when Florida weather is involved – but that doesn't make it any less upsetting for those affected.
So far the lineup announcement, which includes some big EDM names like Alison Wonderland, Audien and Skrillex was posted by Sunset Music Festival on Instagram a few hours ago has received hundreds of comments, many of which aren't positive.

While this isn't the first time a full day of festivities has had to be canceled for reasons out of the organizer's control, several people have already stated they will not be attending another Sunset Music Festival if it's held at the same location.
One Facebook user commented, "Please move from Tampa. Obviously, the authorities do not want to have the fest there. I will never go to Tampa again for this fest. If you move, I’ll follow."

Despite all the shade being thrown about last year's event, the 2019 Sunset Music Festival is still set to be held on Memorial Day Weekend at Raymond James Stadium in Tampa, Florida. Tickets will go on sale tomorrow.
