Mondo has been bringing some of the world’s top DJs to Madrid since it opened in 1999. A club for discerning electronic music lovers, Mondo has recently welcomed names like Guy Gerber, Avalon Emerson and Detroit Swindle. It runs every Thursday and Saturday – with some concerts other nights – in Sala Cocó, on the central Calle de Alcalá.

On the outskirts of Madrid, Fabrik is the city’s premier mega-club, hosting regular house, techno and trance nights for up to 4,000 revellers. Set in two massive warehouse spaces, the club has six huge screens, laser shows, smoke machines and a cool outdoor terrace where you can chill out between dancing the night away.
Madrid’s most famous club is a feast for the senses and an utter crowd-pleaser, whether you want to groove to some deep house beats or belt out some cheesy karaoke tunes. Being so diverse, it won’t satisfy those looking for a serious house or electro night, but as a more general club it’s worth a visit. Of its seven floors, electronic music fans should check out the grand ground floor, where DJs are usually spinning house and dance music.
This Madrid staple is an eclectic club that welcomes everyone, from British indie bands to some of the best electronic, house and techno DJs in Europe. The concert-venue-meets-club usually plays host to bands earlier in the evening, before club nights take over later and on into the night. The huge, 1,500-square-metre (16,000-square-foot) venue is located on the banks of the River Manzanares, a 10-minute walk from the city centre.
