For those who enjoy getting into the holiday spirits, The Palladium is a must-visit every December with its incredible lineup of shows and performances. This year, the historic venue went bigger and better than ever for the holidays, and the grand finale of The Palladium’s holiday lineup takes place this weekend.
This weekend marks the return of St. Pete Opera: Holiday Sparkle – Holiday Pops at its Grandest, with shows on Saturday and Sunday. The annual favorite is an extravaganza of sound as talented singers, accompanied by the joyful sounds of the opera’s brilliant orchestra, perform a wide array of holiday music, from the sacred to the popular and everything in between. With stunning performances and a festive atmosphere, Holiday Sparkle is the perfect way to share the season’s joy with family and friends.
Showcasing a full month of joyful offerings, The Palladium’s holiday lineup featured tons of fan favorites (Nate Najar’s Jazz Holiday should top anyone’s list), and performances by both local and traveling groups. From the St. Pete Opera’s Holiday Sparkle show, to the Christmas Kickoff by The Motowners, the music and cheer were never-ending. More highlights includde an amazing ballet performance of The Nutcracker, “An Italian Christmas Night,” a holiday brass performance by The Florida Orchestra, and much more.

The Motowners Christmas Kickoff Concert – Tuesday, November 28 • 7:30 PM

The Motowners “Legends of Motown” Tribute Show & Revue performing many Christmas classics. This electrifying 15-piece musical extravaganza comes complete with choreography, exquisite costumes, and women and men background singers. These amazing vocalists are backed up by a live band masterfully laying down the grooves, licks, and distinctive backbeats of Motown’s legendary in-house band, “The Funk Brothers.”
St. Petersburg Ballet presents The Nutcracker – Friday, December 1 & Saturday, December 2 • 7:30 PM; Saturday, December 2 • 2:00 PM; Sunday, December 3 • 3:00 PM

The story of the “Nutcracker” begins on a magical Christmas Eve in St. Petersburg, Russia in 1872. It is told through the eyes of an eccentric toymaker, Herr Drosselmeyer and his beloved Goddaughter, Clara. Clara must find the courage to believe in the power of love for the enchanted Nutcracker Prince in order to save him from the evil Mouse King.
Second Time Arounders Marching Band: Holiday Spectacular – Monday, December 4 • 7:00 PM
Tickets: General Admission: $15 in advance, $20 day of show
A holiday music concert performed by local instrument groups to include the St. Petersburg College Jazz Band; the Pinellas Youth Symphony; the Second Winds, elite musicians from local community bands; and the Second Time Arounders Marching Band, conducted by Bill Findeison.
Ballet Academy of St. Petersburg Presents Clara’s Christmas Dream – Tuesday, December 5 • 7:00 PM
Tickets: Reserved: $35 adults’ $25 children under 12, students, and seniors 65+
Ballet Academy of St. Petersburg heralds the story of Clara’s Christmas Dream to the Palladium stage. This version of the ballet takes place in the dreams of young Clara, in which she is guided by her Godmother Drosselmeyra to the magic, and by the Snow Queen to the Land of the Sweets.
An Italian Christmas Night: Andrea Del Principe – Wednesday, December 6 • 7:00 pm

A Live Concert by the internationally acclaimed Tenor, Platinum Recording Artist, Andrea Del Principe. An Italian Christmas Night – a tribute to Andrea Bocelli and the great Italian tenors of the world from Enrico Caruso to Luciano Pavarotti.
Nate Najar’s Jazz Holiday – Thursday, December 7 • 7:30 PM

Nate Najar’s Jazz Holiday returns to Hough Hall for another evening of swinging jazz, holiday favorites and special guest stars. The 2023 edition features Nate Najar on guitar, Joe Porter, bass, Patrick Bettison, keys, Jean Bolduc, drums, with special guest Daniela Soledade, vocals, Carl Amundson, guitar, plus two New York City favorites, Bruce Harris, on trumpet and Adrian Cunningham, sax and flute. Nate’s holiday show has been an audience favorite for more than 15 years.
Clara’s New York City Christmas – Saturday, December 9 • 11:00 AM, 2:00 PM and 7:00 PM

Put on your hats and scarfs…for a timeless classic reimagined. A wide-eyed girl visits New York for the first time discovering the spirit of the city at Christmas. Take part in her delight as she dances amidst the iconic sights and sounds of the Big Apple, until she discovers a magical portal in a 5th Ave candy store window leading to the Land of Sweets.
The Florida Orchestra Chamber Concert: Holiday Brass – Sunday, December 10 • 2:00 PM

Feel the power of The Florida Orchestra’s unparalleled brass section as they perform a festive mix of classical and popular holiday favorites. The TFO chamber concerts are generously sponsored by Rick and Amy Smith.
