The Port Clinton Rotary Perch Wagon will visit the Wolcott Keeper’s House on July 13.
The public is invited to visit the Wolcott Keeper’s House on Saturday, July 13, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. to enjoy perch served by the Port Clinton Rotary Perch Wagon and American Civil War era music provided by balladeers Steve and Lisa Ball. In partnership with the Port Clinton Rotary Club, the Society invites the public to the annual Perch Wagon event. Both the Wolcott Keeper’s House and Annex will be open for tours.
For over 20 years, the Port Clinton Rotary Club has offered perch and homemade fries to visitors at a number of Ottawa County events. Staffed by all volunteers, it is not unusual for the perch wagon to go through 500-750 pounds of fish by the end of a season. Musicians Steve and Lisa Ball specialize in American Civil War era music. Steve is a collector of vintage instruments, mainly guitars, including Civil War era Martin guitars. Lisa joins Steve on upright bass and vocal harmonies. She plays piano, guitar, bass and autoharp.
Stop by and catch some fish and fries and enjoy the music along the way.
