✔️ = Critic's Pick
✔️ Thomas Wynn & the Believers w/Have Gun, Will Travel/Shannon LaBrie Seeing a couple of titans of the regional Americana scene come together on one bill is never something to just gloss over, especially if you’re new to the area and looking for some acts (and a venue — in this case it’s the always-charming Skipper’s Smokehouse) to fall in love with. If that’s you, then circle this show. Get there early to catch a set from Nashville songwriter Shannon LaBrie, too. (Skipper’s Smokehouse, Tampa) INFO
✔️ Hymn For Her After living a vagabond lifestyle, hillbilly-rock duo Hymn For Her has kinda-sorta settled down in Florida, which means that Sunshine State fans of the band’s off-kilter brand of ramblin’, rambunctious psychobilly-leaning Americana get to see Lucy Tight and Wayne Waxing quite often. This is a chance to witness the band play songs from its 2016 album (Drive Til U Die) in the courtyard outside Ale & the Witch. The duo has been working on new music with producer Vance Powell (Jack White, Chris Stapleton, Anderson East), so listen up for material from a new album due sometime this year. (The Ale & The Witch, St. Petersburg) INFO
Eli Escobar A staple of the New York house music scene (Eli Escobar of classic Music Company, Night People, Crew Love Records and iki Disco) drops into The Castle, where we hope to hear a lot of the house-disco hybrid sound he started to gain notoriety for in 2016 with the release of his album, HappinessShout, a new album released in January, addresses the political disaster Americana is experiencing right now, so take your outrage to the dance floor on Friday, too. (The Dungeon at The Castle, Ybor City) INFO
NO MAN IS AN ISLAND
Bahamas’ Afie Jurvanen talks mom, bad boys and more before Ybor City show
Bahamas Toronto indie-pop soul crooner Bahamas comes to Ybor City one year after opening for Jack Johnson down the road at the old Gary amp.(Orpheum, Ybor City) INFO
Classic Albums Live Rumors The only folks upset about Lindsey Buckingham leaving Fleetwood Mac (again) are the Rumours diehards who remain devoted to the band's classic 1977 album (admittedly one of the best classic rock albums ever). They won't have to fret when none of the actual members of the Mac hit the stage for this Classic Albums Live show, which features an ace band that'll get fans as close to the gold dust as anyone can for under $50. (Capitol Theatre, Clearwater) INFO
One City Chorus CL's love for the One City Chorus is no secret, and this show gives us the feels since it's being thrown to help the wife and six children of Luis Blanco, who was recently deported back to Mexico after working in construction and farming and living peacefully in Plant City for over 20 years. The concert is free but a goodwill collection will be taken, but let's face it: if you're into this show, then you're probably a good person anyway. (Allendale United Methodist Church, St. Petersburg) INFO
Lost In Society w/Wolf-Face/Teen Agers/Rutterkin Tampa punk trio Rutterkin celebrates the release of its new EP at this show featuring a pair of Florida favorites (Orlando’s Teen Agers, St. Pete’s Wolf-Face) and Lost in Society, an Asbury Park trio touring in support of its forthcoming Eager Heart EP (set for release on May 25 via Wiretap Records). (Lucky You Tattoo, St. Petersburg) INFO

Spag Heddy w/P0gman Fans of ultra-grimey dubstep can headbang the night away at The Ritz when Dutch producer Spag Heddy (real name Mischa Reining) comes to the venue’s always-rowdy #Pound Friday party. A wubby, wobbly opening set will be delivered by UK producer P0gman, born Chris Eddowes, who has transcended the stereotypes of EDM by participating in a homegrown program (Harmonious Generations) which found him producing recordings by community groups like Whitehouse Common Primary School, Sutton Rock Choir and even the Greville House Retirement Home. (The Ritz, Ybor City) INFO
Terrain w/Red Lights Beacon/No. 9/Reality Asylum Watching the madness of a Reality Asylum set unfold in the basement is reason enough to head to Iberian Rooster this weekend, but this free show finds the St. Petersburg darkwave act accompanied by Randall Mentzo’s interesting Jacksonville indie-folk outfit, Terrain, which is set to release a new EP, Knowing, this summer. (SubCentral at Iberian Rooster, St. Petersburg) INFO
